The one aspect of hydroponic growing that is not being utilized today is outdoor growing either in the home garden or community gardens. This probably is so since most hydroponic growing methods are not designed for outdoor use and require expensive sensitive operating components, growing systems, using hydroponic methods such as flood-and-drain, NFT, and drip irrigation, systems which have high water and electrical power requirements. The one hydroponic growing method that does not have such requirements is the Aquanutrient method, described in some detail on this website, a growing system that works flawlessly in the greenhouse as well as outdoors.
